Jobs, Jobs, We Don't Need No Stinkin Jobs

The Obama administration spent a whole lot a "Change", more than ONE TRILLION DOLLARS, in the "Hope" that pouring unfathomable amounts of money (taken from our grand children's future well being) into the US economy would create millions of new private sector jobs. This exercise of Keynesian stimulus on steroids argues that by expanding aggregate demand for goods and services, employers will expand their businesses (hire new workers) to meet the increased demand created by all this newly circulated money.

Regrettably, this 1930s British economic theory is no match for 2010 American real world economic realities. Two federal legislative intrusions into the private sector marketplace in the last six months - Health Care Reform and Financial Wall Street Reform weigh in at a muscular four thousand six hundred pages of impenetrable legalize that Princess Pelosi tells us can not be understood until AFTER these laws have been implemented by the adoption of the more than 1900 new federal regulations called for in these two statutes.

Talk about a business investment environment beset by uncertainty. Because of Obamacare and Dodd's takeover of our financial markets, venture capital prudently is frozen until the billions of dollars in new business costs are made known over the next five years of rule making by hundreds of new boards, commissions, agencies, and on and on infinnitum. Nonetheless, the Pols in DC who have never made a private sector budget in their lives tell us that "prosperity is just around the corner".

What part of the total inability of employers to make accurate business financial plans for the next five years does this White House not understand? Rather than fostering certainty, BIG BROTHER is hiring thousands of lawyers and bureaucrats to write thousands of new regulations imposing substantially higher costs on businesses for each new (and existing) employee for health care benefits and borrowing for expansion. How much higher regulatory compliance costs are confronting our private sector investors? Obviously, these massive new obligations on businesses can not be calculated, until the only growth sector in this economy finishes its work over the next half decade - the bureaucrats must speak before the private sector can adopt new business growth budgets.

Fortunately, one viable solutions presents itself for both this lag in new job hires and the long lead time for rule promulgations. Congress should authorize the President to immediately hire two to three million more lawyers and bureaucrats to finalize all these regulations by Labor Day Weekend, so the private sector can start making new budgets with accurate cost decisions for business growth in the Spring, as predicted by Chauncey Gardener. Just saying...

More Sliders: Some Might Say "Cheap Shots"

(1) Generallissimo Francisco Franco is still dead, as is George Patton Steinbrenner, no longer the Boss of anyone.

(2) Professor David Francko, Inventor of the Wonder Product, FreezePruf, remains very much alive, as he denies that FreezePruf has any applications in preserving the viability of human tissues.

(3) Federal Court Judge yesterday declared "The Stolen Valor Act" to be unconstitutional, finding it violative of First Amendment protection of free speech. This ruling was rendered despite the amicus brief filed by State of Connecticut Attorney General Blumenthal in support of its penal sanctions for publicly pronounced war record falsehoods.

(4) In responding to my prior Blog Posting about Senator Byrd's KKK membership, the current spokesperson for former President Clinton proclaimed that "Bubba unequivocally condemns racially based lynchings whenever employed to improve electability to federal office, even state offices."

(5) Senator Byrd himself remains dead, so he has released no statements regarding the release of his Home Depot credit purchase records - $350.00 per annum for rope, knotting instructions included.

(6) Enuff already about the nearly departed. Jake Cohen, Davidson College Sophomore, is currently leading the Israel National U20 bb team in summer league play in Jerusalem.

More Sliders, Just Right Down the Middle

Let me preface this Posting by acknowledging that I have been truly humbled by the outpouring of extravagant praise heaped upon Your Now, Truly Humble Blogger by the Indiana contingent of Manly Men - collectively known as 'TheBori", against whom all resistance is futile.

So, in this context of sincere appreciation for the ten (10) comments posted on July 6th, I offer up the following:

(1) Lebron James can not be faulted for abandoning Cleveland, have you ever been there for more than three days in a row? We are the land of opportunity, after all.

(2) Lebron James can be faulted for the tactless way he abandoned Cleveland.

(3) Bubba Clinton at the Senator Bird's Wake defamed every single adult resident of West Virginia, saying that a WVa. political good old boy could not be assured of election to a federal office w/o. joining the KKK. Membership required, lynchings optional.

(4) Barry Hussein Obama told an interviewer that the people of Israel have found disfavor with him because his middle name is "Hussein", not his policies which have riled
them to fits of fear for his ending 63 years of commitment to the jewish national home.
At least the Anointed One didn't defame them by calling the Israeli people mind numbingly stupid for questioning him based upon something he had no control over whatsoever -
what his parents put on his birth certificate. Oh wait, Barry could have changed his name.

(5) While it all may just come out in the wash, Your Humble Blogger is tentatively scheduled to be in Columbus, Ohio on November 27, 2010 (without Lebron's company) in order to witness "that University Up North" receive another polite spankin, i.e., lesson in football etiquette. Just saying ...

AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM

Today, we celebrate the 234th Anniversary of the Greatest Secular Idea in Human History:

"AMERICA"

So, let us examine this Universally Acclaimed Truth - America is uniquely benevolent (not nearly perfect) but, in the great affairs of nations, always the leading empowerment of human rights, peace and individual prosperity:

"For we shall be a Shining City on a Hill." John Winthrop, 1630; Ronald Reagan, 1980;

"And for the support of this Declaration, ... we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor." Thomas Jefferson, and 56 other Signers, July 4, 1776;

"A New Nation conceived in Liberty and dedicated to the proposition that All Men are
Created Equal. We here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain - that
this Nation, under God, shall have a new birth of Freedom." Abraham Lincoln, 1863;

Regrettably, this universal acclimation has one notable exception - "I believe in American Exceptionalism just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British Exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek Exceptionalism." Barry Hussein Obama (full given name by parents). By universal consensus, the most recent contribution by the nation of Greece to the advancement of the human condition was prior to 332 B.C. when its last real leader died at 32 years of age.

For me, I will keep counsel instead with Jefferson/Lincoln/Winthrop:

America is and always shall be the The One Shining City, a Beacon of Light
to the whole World, having malice toward none and charity for all, so
we shall as one unique people strive on to finish the work we do to
achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and w/.
all nations. May it ever be true, because all peoples strive to be embraced
by the shining light of liberty and justice that is uniquely American.
