After his retirement, Joe Sestak decided to continue his service to our nation by seeking a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, which he won in his 2006 attempt. Having been re-elected in 2008, Admiral Sestak decided to seek his Party's nomination to the U.S. Senate, hoping to unseat five term incumbent, Republican RINO, Arlen Specter. This bid appeared to be stuck in dry dock, when all the Obama folks welcomed Arlen to the Party, along w/. its Pa. Senatorial endorsement. Not willing to see his ambitions so torpedoed, Joe challenged Arlen in the Demo. Primary for this nomination.
When asked by a reporter whether the White House had offered him a high level position in the Administration in lieu of prosecuting his campaign against Arlen, the Admiral answered "Yes Sir". Opps, Joe's apparent candor raised the specter of the commission of a federal crime by the offer of a job in return for changing the candidate composition for election to federal office.
When stonewalling for months failed to spike press demands for full disclosure (of the conversation that the White House acknowledged occurred with the Admiral to discuss a happy ending of his candidacy), David Axelrod threw poor Joe under the bus, joining Rev. Wright and the President's racist Grandmother. Yesterday, David stated: "There is no evidence that the White House has offered a job to Admiral Sestak, in exchange for dropping his Senatorial bid."
This Axelrod claim is false, as the unequivocal statement by Joe Sestak is very direct evidence indeed, unless the Admiral can be shown to be lying or delusional. I submit that the Obama Administration should not be supporting for high elective office, a person it views as either a blatant dissembler or mentally unable to engage in every day honorable political discourse.
